  All the hydrogen and helium has formed.
13 Billion BC
- Amino Acids form in a White flare star system located in a galaxy in the process of being assimilated by the Milky Way. These will eventually evolve into the Ovaska
8 Billion BC
- The Ovaska make their first space flight (Estimated)
- A group of Ovaska evolve with highly developed telepathic abilities and form the basis of the Vaipen Hive mind.
- The new hive turns on the Ovaska and, after a war lasting over 2000 years, are driven out of Ovaska space and move into hyperspace seeking new territory where they evolve into a new form, The Vaipen; lighter but faster than the Ovaska, and the hive mind matures to form a highly cohesive society.
6.2 Billion BC
- A Supergiant star in the Orion arm of the Milky way enters the supernova stage, the energy release, more than the star released in it's whole life, forms a shock wave which spreads out into interstellar space causing massive hyperspace storms and realspace/ hyperspace rifts.
- The Vaipen are driven back into normal space, only able to use hyperspace over short distances, where they begin to set up colonies.
4.6 Billion BC
- The shockwave released 1.6 billion years hits a number of dust clouds deep within the orion arm. As they collapse the form the beginning of new solar systems.
3.5 Billion BC
- Amino acids have now formed on several worlds orbiting new suns within the Orion Arm.
- The Vaipen and Ovaska suddenly halt expansion towards the galactic hub
- A number of unknown craft emerge from hyperspace near Ovaska space, the only records that have ever been made available by the Ovaska show that, whatever they were, they were immensely powerful and wherever they went whole stellar systems were wiped clean. Nothing, not even the smallest bacterium remained.
- The Vaipen and Ovaska join forces to repel the new invader, most of their populations are eradicated without trace. In a last ditch effort the Ovaska used an experimental weapon (the details of which are not known) which managed to force the invader into hyperspace
- The unknown invader disappeared. Immediately afterwards, hyperspace storms began breaking out, some so large that they began to affect normal space. Although no known reason has been verified, some have speculated that they were the result of the Ovaska weapon. Massive storms sealed off a number of systems, Sol among them, for well over 2 Billion years. What happened during this period is unknown: the damage to Vaipen and Ovaskan society was so serious that they nearly perished and no records have ever been found from this period.
1 Billion BC
- The hyperspace storms have died down and the populations of the Vaipen and Ovaska have slowly started to recover. Across 10 thousand worlds the remnants of both races begin rebuilding and rediscovering the knowledge lost in the destruction caused during the storms
- Multicellular life forms have begun to emerge on a number of systems in the Orion Arm
500 Million BC
- The Vaipen and Ovaskan societies have almost returned to the same level as they had attained over 2 billion years previously. Both races begin restoring and advancing their much diminished borders.
- Highly complex life forms have evolved on 30 systems in the Orion Arm
200 Million BC
- Jurassic/ Triassic periods on Earth, Dinosaurs are widespread, mammals are evolving rapidly
- Conflict, minor skirmishes at first, begin to break out between the Vaipen and Ovaska
65 Million BC
- End of the Cretaceous period of Earth history. Widespread extinction of life after a succession of natural disasters.
10 Million BC
- Intelligent life evolves in a number of systems, Earth included
1 Million BC
- The Vaipen and Ovaska declare war on each other. Massive war machines are constructed by both sides and used as primary assault weapons
- Millions of Ovaska and Vaipen die in the wars, whole solar systems are destroyed by the gargantuan Vaipen planetkillers.
- The Ovaska develop a new method to enter and leave hyperspace which apparently does not require large jump engines.
988,000 BC
- For some, unknown, reason the Vaipen and Ovaska halt the war but fail to retrieve all their war machines. Both races halt expansion of their borders.
50,000 BC
- Civilisation begins to emerge on Earth and 5 other systems, among which are the beginning of the Korhonen, Elarien, Mogensen and Rahn.
30,000 BC
- The Korhonen make their first spaceflight
- Civil wars break on on the Mogensen homeworld, hundreds of thousands die
20,000 BC
- The Korhonen, after relying on sleeper ships to make long distance travel possible, develop hyperspace technology
10,000 BC
- The Korhonen enter Sol and set up colonies on Mars and Ganymede
- Humans make the first spaceflight
- First contact between Humans and the Korhonen, some exchange of technology takes place but the Korhonen appear to keep their distance, remainint on their colony worlds
9,123 BC
- 3 Vaipen planetkillers enter the Sol system from deepspace, Pluto is fragmented in a collision with one planetkiller which has died during the journey. One section is trapped by Earth gravity. The resulting geological damage causes massive numbers of deaths and widespread destruction
- One planetkiller passes by Ganymede, erasing all traces of the Korhonen colony there before being trapped by Jupiter's gravitational field and destroyed
- The Second planet killer enters close earth orbit, much of the surface is decimated before a Vaipen hiveship enters the systems and deactivates the planetkiller.
- Much of the human race has been destroyed by volcanic eruptions, floods and the affects of the planetkiller. What remains reverts to savagery
- The Korhonen abandon the colony on Mars, no reason has ever been given
8,000 BC
- A strange, lifeless, hulk drifts into Korhonen space. It's origin is unknown and it was constructed of organic materials unlike any ever encountered.
- An Ovaska Battleship enters Korhonen space, destroys the hulk, and returns to hyperspace before the Korhonen realise what has happened. None of the ships sent in pursuit returned and no explanation was given beyond a statement made by an Ovaskan ambassador; "It is not time"
7,000 BC
- A highly infections, often fatal, plague breaks out on the Mogensen homeworld. The people unite and attempt to stem the tide of the plague. After 3 fruitless years they begin research and construction of spacecraft which are loaded with the plague victims and fired into deep space. In doing so the Mogensen make their first space flight.
- The Mogensen slowly recover from the plague but their world, damaged by thousands of years of warfare, is dying so they begin to use the research used to build the plague ships to construct colony ships to send to the nearest stars
6,000 BC
- The Mogensen 'obtain' hyperspace technology, but only basic theory, from an undisclosed, highly secretive, source along with instructions on how to construct rudimentary jump engines and jump gates.
- The Mogensen and Korhonen make first contact in Arcturus. After initial pleas-entries the Korhonen battle-cruiser attempts to destroy the Mogensen craft. The next 5 years are littered with reports of battles across hundreds of systems. The war is grid-locked after the Mogensen manage to aquire technology from a race unknown to either side before; the Elarien.
- An uneasy truce is signed between the Mogensen and Korhonen
- The Elarien attack the borders of Korhonen space armed with powerful, extremely accurate, weapons systems
- A Mogensen ship enters Earth orbit, contact is made between the remnants of the human race and the Mogensen. The Mogensen assist in rebuilding some parts of human society but are forced off earth by a viral strain which humans were immune to.
5,000 BC
- Civil wars break out on earth, much of civilisation breaks down
4,000 BC
- Large scale civilisations begin to re-form on Earth
- Ovaska halt the Elarien advance and force the Mogensen, Elarien and Korhonen to break off the conflict
4 BC
- Jesus Christ born, along with other religious figures across the galaxy
50 AD
- A Mogensen convoy, heading for a colony on the border of Vaipen space, disappears� without trace, the Vaipen deny involvement so recriminations fall on the Elarien. War is only averted after closed discussions between the leaders of the Elarien and Mogensen at which an Ovaskan official produced classified documentation of unknown content
850 AD
- A small number of Korhonen scouts enter the Sol system. Some limited rebuilding of the base on Mars is attempted but abandoned after 4 years
- Some Korhonen craft enter Earth orbit but do not contact Humans, a few supply ships are sent down to collect water and materials
920 AD
- 12 Elarien battle-cruisers encounter an unknown craft while on patrol along the Elarien/ Vaipen border. 3 Are destroyed while holding off the ship as the others escape
1080
- After 100 years without incident all but the Vaipen and Ovaska begin to increase hyperspace use
1889
- The Korhonen return to Mars to rebuild the colony there in force. Less than a year later the base is rebuilt in the walls of the Noctis Labyrinthus (nr Syria Planum)
1933
- Korhonen craft enter Earth's atmosphere and begin transferring water and materials to the base on Mars.
1947 to 1952
- At least 16 Korhonen craft are recovered by Earth security services after they crashed because of abberations in the Earth's geomagnetic field. All evidence of these craft were suppressed. 65 bodies, and at least 1 live pilot were recovered.
- Project Sign is created by the US security services, later to become project Grudge, and mandated to debunk reports of sighted craft while investigating all aspects of the problem.
- In 1952 the captured Korhonen, then known as EBE, became ill and the US transmitted a call for help into space in the hope of contacting someone who could help. The transmission was received by mars soon afterwards and it's contents enraged the Korhonen, who had believed all the occupants of crashed craft to have died.
- The Korhonen launch a number of battleships from the martian surface and place them in far Earth orbit
1953
- Mogensen ships break through the Korhonen blockade and land on Earth. They contact several world leaders with a warning about the Korhonen. They offer to help but refuse to exchange technology.
- Eisenhower and Rockefeller create MJ-12, a committee designed to oversee any contact with alien life and to coordinate research and defense plans
- A number of astronomers locate the Korhonen battle-cruisers in Earth Orbit. Project Sigma is created by the US government pending the creation of MJ-12. This project intercepted and decodes communications between the craft. Project Plato is created to initiate contact with the Korhonen
1954
- The Korhonen ambassador, Krlll, lands at Edwards AFB and a treaty is signed between the Americans and what they knew as 'Reticulans'
- Several bases are set up by security services over the Earth to participate in and Exchange... humans for technology. The Governments were under the impression that these subjects would be studied in the hope the Korhonen could aid in curing diseases, they were in fact the object of experiments designed to locate human weaknesses as a prelude to invasion
1964
- The security services, realising they had been tricked, institute a number of projects aimed at developing new technology, derived from the crashed Korhonen craft and from knowledge gained from the Korhonen during the period of cooperation, to be used to defend Earth.
1969
- First man on the Moon, just. The Korhonen attempt to block the landing but allow it after the US security services, through NASA, apologises to the Korhonen and explain that the landing must be allowed to prevent their discovery. The Korhonen land nearby and prevent the astronauts from moving far from the lander.
- All subsequent moon landings are escorted by a Korhonen battleship
1976
- The Viking 1 orbiter begins sending back photographs of the martian surface NASA immediately clamps down security as several photographs show Korhonen buildings. Subsequent releases are highly doctored to remove any suspicious details
- Korhonen warn NASA to stay away from the moon
1994
- Earth probe approaching Mars is destroyed by a ground defense system
1997
- Pathfinder lands on an area of Mars approved by the Korhonen. The signals returned from the probe are encrypted to prevent other agencies seeing anything compromising
- Mars Global Surveyor enters Mars orbit. Returned pictures are doctored to remove evidence of habitation
2000
- Several far-right factions emerge in the continental US and begin terrorist attacks on government buildings and corporations funded by a middle east group known an the Sons of the Desert
- June 3, 10:30am GMT:
  The governments of France, Russia, Egypt and the United States receive an encoded ultimatum to deliver 45 Billion dollars in gold to a location in the Sahara Desert within 12 hours or "their cities will fall in flames to the Desert". The demands are ignored
- June 3, 10:32pm GMT:
  8 Cobalt/ Uranium bombs are detonated simultaneously, two in the San Andreas fault, causing much of California to experience earthquakes off the Richter scale and destroying most population centers West of the Rockies, one in Chicago (Illinois, US), one in Miami (Florida, US) one in St Petersburg (Russia) one in Moscow (Russia), one in Paris (France) and one in Cairo (Egypt). Hundreds of millions die from the explosions and subsequent fallout. The Sons of the Desert claim responsibility and are hunted down and executed.
2010
- Several huge space stations are built in near Earth orbit which house populations from uncontaminated areas of the planet. The Korhonen keep their distance but one station experiences recurring power failures due to 'unspecified external interference'.
2025
- 5 Moonbases are constructed in order to begin extracting minerals from the moon, moonbase 3 is destroyed in a reactor meltdown shortly after completion, later admitted by the Korhonen to be sabotage
2038
- First man on Mars lands in Hellas Planitia
- Korhonen begin moving forces along Valles Marineris
2039 to 2040
- September 20:
  The Korhonen ships emerge from Valles Marineris and attack the newly built colony in Hellas Planitia. Everything is destroyed.
- Earth declares war on the Korhonen. Despite the new technologies developed by the military the Earth forces are massively outnumbered and out-gunned
- 16 Million humans die in weeks
- A Mogensen fleet enters Sol near Earth. The Mogensen turn the tide against the Korhonen who are driven off Earth and Mars and the Korhonen colony in Noctis Labyrinthus is completely destroyed.
- Mogensen assist Earth in building colonies on Mars and the Moon. They exchange technology in return for mining rights in the Asteroid belt and on Ganymede for the next 200 years. Only Hyperspace technology and some propulsion and weapons technology along with basic scientific training is eventually forthcoming.
2041
- April 7:
  The Earth Assembly is formed including members from all the remaining sociopolitical groups on Earth. Plans are drawn up to rebuild as much of the surface of Earth as is habitable and to use new technologies to accelerate the recovery of damaged areas. 4 Mars colonies are also considered along with a Mars orbiting station to follow soon after.
- The Mogensen provide technology for colony domes and digging equipment which allows work which would have take 5 years to be done in 1
2042
- March 5:
  Mars 2 and Mars 3, located in Sini Planum are opened. The first colonists are flown in on the 8 of May.
- June 23:
  Mars City, built in the shadow of Olympus Mons, opens.
- August 3
  Construction work begins on New Moscow, New Detroit and New London.
2102
- First interstellar colony ships leave Earth space with a heavy escort of Earth battleships and Mogensen craft. Colonies set up on Proxima Centauri 5
2108
- First Elarien contact. They immediately take a dislike to humans who are the only race which seem to be able to out-haggle them.
- Earth introduced to a number of races but the Elarien and Mogensen.
- Large amounts of technical and scientific knowledge is exchanged, so much in fact that the Human race gains knowledge that would otherwise have taken centuries.
2115
- First Human/ Ovaska contact.
- The Vaipen and Ovaska close their borders and withdraw all but a few ambassadors
2156
- October 8:
  Earth is founder member of the Galactic Assembly.
2204
- Earth ships attacked in hyperspace by an unknown alien. Only 2 ships survive out of a convoy of 50.
2240
- The Galactic Assembly moves to a new home in a station orbiting Delta Eridanus 4, controlled by earth but funded by all the member races
